Fyn Cup 2008. The new mast (the old mast collapsed last fall) and sail was not yet trimmed for the 20-24 knob wind during this year Fyn Cup with more then 350 participants. The forecast said 10-14 knob wind and the crew was set to 7 people but actually 9-10 persons would have been much better. But as always the Aluracer was very fast downwind– close to Swan 45 and X-50 – and Aluracer finished up 2nd in her class just after a Farr-40.   Fyn Cup 2007 WINDER OVERALL: Aluracer was the winner overall among the 340 particpants: See the result:   Fyn Cup 2007     2006 . 2006 was a fantastic year for Aluracer. Aluracer finished 2. in first race, and she lost a victory in 2. race due to a broken mantel on a halyard. Sunday the wind had increased and it was for several ours above 17 m/s. The track had to be completed 3 times, and Aluracer, showing a impressing boat speed, had the 7th fastest finishing time. On the down wind legs she was significantly faster then boats as X-43, X-40 and ILC 40. Only X-50, Farr 40 and H20 had better finishing times.  Overall Aluracer became 2. in the race.  Results can be seen on KDY website.   Mumm Stelton Cup,  Winder of the Sport-class.        With more than 250 boats one could expect an exiting race, and it was: Normal racing rules were forgotten, as there were a great advantage at the leeward marker on the starting line. Aluracer had a fine start and navigated to the port side of the track in the southerly wind and came 2.  of the racing class boats to the upwind marker, increasing her advantage on the down wind leg. Results can be seen on the homepage of Vedbaek Sejlklub.   Thiele Cup, Rungsted.      3 victories in 3 races were a fine start in the 2 racing weekends on Oeresund. The 3 races took place in approx. 5 m/s wind.   Skaro / Drejo Rundt 2006.  Aluracer were first boat at the finish and ended 3rd boat in her race.   Tuco Cup 2006. Winder overall. Aluracer started as the 4th last boat (handicap start) and came in more than 5 minutes before boat # 2, thus being winner overall among the 50 participants.   Oehavet Rundt 2006.   no. 4 overall.                     Aluracer came in # 4 overall in the race “Oehavet Rundt” joining 72 participants. Aluracer won her own race. The wind turned from southwest to southeast during the race, making the race tacking from start to Avernakoe and further to Strynoe.   Fyn Rundt Classic 2006, Kerteminde 9-10 juni: Aluracer finish up overall nr. 4 after 31h 27m 17s sailing in a very hot and sunny race. 165 boat passed the starting line freiday  noon and the last boat finish Sunday morning. Fyn Cup 2006: Fyn Cup “Aluracer” won her class at Fyn Cup. Fyn Cup is one of the major distance regattas in Denmark with more than 300 participants this year. The race takes place around the Island of Fyn every year and the total distance of the race is 135 nm.
